Licenses
Effective 20 August 2026 · Last updated 20 August 2026 · Version 1.0
File Conversion includes third-party fonts and open-source libraries. This page is the public notice. Full font licence texts are also published under `/licenses/`. Site content that is not third-party remains the operator’s, as described in Copyright.
1. Application code
Original File Conversion application code, copy, and chrome graphics are provided to you only as a running website under the Terms. Publication of this notice is not an open-source licence for the product itself.
2. Clash Display (Indian Type Foundry / Fontshare)
Headings use Clash Display weights 500 and 600, self-hosted as `.woff2` from the Fontshare complete desktop+web package. Copyright Indian Type Foundry. The font is subject to the Fontshare Free Font End User Licence Agreement (FF EULA), last updated 22 March 2021.
You may view the site with the embedded font. You may not extract, modify, or redistribute the Font Software. The full EULA is published at /notices/clash-display-eula.txt. Official distribution: https://www.fontshare.com.
3. Inter (SIL Open Font License 1.1)
Body and UI type uses Inter latin weights 400 and 600, self-hosted as `.woff2` (Fontsource latin builds). Inter is copyright the Inter Project Authors and is licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1.
The OFL allows use, study, and redistribution of the font under the licence conditions, including the reserved font name rules. The full licence is published at /notices/inter-ofl.txt. Upstream: https://github.com/rsms/inter.
4. Runtime open-source software
The production artifact is built with:
- Next.js — © Vercel, Inc. and contributors — MIT Licence. https://github.com/vercel/next.js
- React and React DOM — © Meta Platforms, Inc. and affiliates — MIT Licence. https://github.com/facebook/react
Development-only packages (test runners, linters, Playwright, jpeg-js fixtures, and similar) are not shipped as part of the visitor-facing converter. Their licences remain in the source repository’s `package-lock.json` and each package’s `LICENSE` file.
5. MIT Licence (summary)
Software licensed under MIT is provided free of charge, without warranty, and may be used, copied, modified, and distributed provided the copyright notice and permission notice are included in copies. The authors are not liable for claims arising from the software. The full MIT text is included in each upstream package.
6. No warranty from licensors
Font and library licensors provide their works without warranty. Their liability caps, including Indian Type Foundry’s FF EULA and the OFL / MIT disclaimers, apply to those works. They do not expand the operator’s warranties; see the Disclaimer.
7. Combined notice file
A short combined notice is also at /notices/NOTICE.txt.
