WebP → PNG is the homepage default for WebP. It aims at a compatibility and editing-oriented still PNG, and it keeps source alpha when the WebP is a still image.

Example

A still WebP screenshot becomes a PNG you can open in tools that do not write WebP. Output dimensions describe the visually oriented image.

Limitation

This is not an identity conversion and not a guarantee of bit-identical pixels. Same-format WebP → WebP is not offered.

Questions about WebP → PNG

Why PNG instead of another WebP?: The registry has no identity pairs. PNG is the documented recommended WebP target for editing and compatibility.
Are SVG or AVIF accepted on this page?: No. Those formats are rejected without decoding or DOM injection. This route only accepts still WebP.
